An all levels class that moves slow in order to focus inward. Hatha style class with a theme that varies monthly. A personal and group experience of weaving in all 5 koshas (layers) - body/nourishment, breath/energy, mind, wisdom and bliss. Class is taught by Sonya Carter on Monday dates not listed.

Mobility Movement, & Meditation
Start your day with guided release work and mobility followed by a variety of movements to get your joints, muscles and fascia hydrated and finish the class with a guided meditation - leave feeling energized and at ease. We will follow the fascial lines described by Tom Myers in Anatomy Trains with starting with self-myofascial release techniques; followed by movements from yoga, Pilates, and fitness; and finishing with breathing and imagery exercises.
All levels and drop-ins welcome.

Back in Your Body: A Postpartum Journey
For mothers who are beyond the first year of postpartum looking to enhance their body awareness (proprioception and interoception), improve trunk stability, and take some time for themselves. We will practice guided imagery, various breathing techniques, foundational strength work, and a variety of restorative poses.
All levels and drop-ins welcome (space permitting). Class size limited to 5.
9-10am at the Movement Center // $200 for the series or $30/class
A yoga class for those specifically with musculoskeletal issues or injuries, arthritis, limited mobility, or those looking for a class that moves focuses on anatomy and alignment at a safe speed. Blending the Eastern practice of yoga with the Western knowledge of biomechanics and anatomy, we will focus on setting the foundation with “pre-asana” (pre-pose) and breathing in order to explore each student’s individual limits. We will also incorporate the 8 limbs of yoga with a focus on yamas, niyamas, asana, and pranayama.
No drop-ins, pre-registration is required! Class size is limited to 10.

Experiential Anatomy: This workshop is for anyone looking to learn more about their own body and human anatomy; accessible for the student looking to create a foundation or the teacher/practitioner looking to add to a base of anatomical knowledge. We will study and learn the anatomy with numerous images, an interactive app, coloring pages, and assorted interactive exercises including manual release work and various movements. Topics vary.
Get Centered: This workshop will focus on breathing and deep core activation in order to help you feel more centered. When our breath and deep core are coordinated and accessible all other movement and exercise will be easier, safer, and more efficient. To find your cylindrical powerhouse and start off the new year centered, reserve your spot! All levels welcome, no previous yoga experience needed.
Happy Joints Workshop Series: A series focused on some of the major joints in our bodies to help you learn how to move, stabilize and maintain healthy and happy joints. The practice will focus on release work using blocks and balls, mobility exercises, and yoga asana. Be prepared to leave with new knowledge of your body, how to reduce pain and stress on joints, and feeling like your body has a bit more space!
Pints and Poses at the Pub: A one hour yoga class at the Salt hill Pub in West Leb. $15 dollars per person includes the class and a beer afterwards. Rebuilding Your Foundation: A workshop for women who have experienced childbirth in the past year with a focus on the physical, mental and emotional aspects of self-care when providing for a child during their first year of life. We will discuss the cascade of physiologic changes that most often occur in women's bodies after childbirth and will offer postural alignment for daily activities, foundational strength building exercises, and breathing routines for healing and stress management. We will also offer some nourishing and simple recipes for snacks and teas.
Release, Breathe, and Restore: This workshop will focus on relieving and releasing physical, mental, and emotional tension as you are guided through self myofascial release work with balls and blocks, breath work, and restorative yoga. Refill your tank so you have more to give back! All levels welcome, no prior yoga experience needed. Come curious and ready to unwind! Topics vary.
