Beginner Aerial Yoga

Thursdays 10:30-11:30am with Erin McCabe - Beginner

Cost:
$18 pre-registered
$20 drop-in (space permitting)
$150 for 10 class pass

A fun and supportive style of yoga that uses aerial hammocks to bring your yoga and movement practice into the air while feeling grounded and centered! Poses will be done with the support of the hammock in various positions in order to help you sink into poses, find proper alignment naturally, strengthen through deeper ranges of motion and reap the benefits of inversions without strain on the joints of the body (inversions are optional).

Safety is always the primary focus. No aerial, acrobatic, dance, or yoga experience required.

Space is limited, therefore you will need to pre-register to reserve your hammock.

Fridays 2-3pm with Maryam Paydarfar - Introductory- FREE

Get Centered

This workshop will focus on breathing and deep core activation in order to help you feel more centered. When our deep core and breath are coordinated and accessible all other movement and exercise will be easier, safer and more efficient. To find your cylindrical powerhouse and start off the new year centered, reserve your spot! All levels welcome, no previous yoga experience needed.

Pre-registration is preferred via email info@erinmccabewellness.com, though drop-ins are welcome. 

Erin is a certified athletic trainer (AT) and professional yoga therapist (PYT) with over 10 years of experience. Her style of instruction and yoga is anatomically based with a gentle focus on the deeper, subtle layers of our systems. She hopes you will always leave as though you have always learned something.

Happy Joints Series

This workshop series will focus on some of the major joints in our bodies to help you learn how to move, stabilize and maintain healthy and happy joints. The practice will focus on release work using blocks and balls, mobility exercises, and yoga asana. Be prepared to leave with new knowledge of your body, how to reduce pain and stress on joints, and feeling like your body has a bit more space! 

Cost: $25 each or $100 for all

Sundays 1-3pm at Open Door (downtown WRJ)

Rebuilding Your Foundation: A Workshop for Postpartum Women

This workshop is open to women who have experienced childbirth in the past year. In this workshop we will be discussing the physical, mental and emotional aspects of self-care when providing for a child during their first year of life. We will discuss the cascade of physiologic changes that most often occur in women's bodies after childbirth and will offer postural alignment for daily activities, foundational strength building exercises, and breathing routines for healing and stress management. We will also offer some nourishing and simple recipes for snacks and teas.

Cicely Conway is an acupuncturist, massage therapist and yoga instructor. She has been working with women in all stages of motherhood since 2006. Cicely brings a wealth of experience to her work.
Erin McCabe is a Professional Yoga Therapist with five years experience and a passion for restoring vitality through breath work and movement.
Cicely and Erin both believe in an individualized, integrative health care approach and are delighted to be offering this course.

Yoga for Outdoor Athletes at Kilowatt Park

This class will focus on mobility to keep your joints moving through their full range and strength to keep your muscles long and strong. There will also be a focus on breathing and decreasing mental and physical tension to keep you active and enjoying the outdoors at your best. We will be meeting at Kilowatt Park South where we will set up by the waterfront to create an atmosphere of relaxation and focus.

ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderate.

WHERE TO MEET: Kilowatt Park South in Hartford, VT.

WHAT TO BRING: Comfortable clothes, yoga mat, water, snacks, personal medications.
